Foxhole Experts Enhance CDM Initiative

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program provides cybersecurity tools, integration services, and dashboards that enhance the security posture for participating agencies. Foxhole Technology’s deployment engineers play a pivotal role in addressing the knowledge management challenges within the CDM program. Most recently, the fragmented nature of data, information, and knowledge across CDM’s many business functions led to inefficiencies and hindered the program’s overall effectiveness. The Foxhole Team’s approach to the challenges presented involved three key components: standardizing entry and exit criteria for each SELC review, developing a RACI matrix for SELC deliverables, and leveraging Microsoft PowerApps and SharePoint to create a centralized platform for data, information, and knowledge management.

The implementation of our solution drove significant improvements, such as establishing a centralized SharePoint site for deployment engineering activities, streamlining business and technical process workflows, and leveraging modern technologies like Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate to enhance the program's management and operational capabilities. The adoption of a systematic approach to knowledge management has also paved the way for potential progress in both management and operational efficiency, as organizations can now better manage and disseminate data, information, and knowledge through standardized processes and modern technology, ultimately fostering a more cohesive and efficient working environment.

Foxhole continues to deliver high quality cyber engineering solutions in support of the broader CDM initiative. Our team collaborates with CISA stakeholders and participating agencies to enhance the overall security posture through targeted innovation.
